
The Gilbert Parks and Recreation Foundation was established in 2015 and is a recognized non-profit, 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization that relies solely upon contributions to enhance the Parks and Recreation programs and parks in Gilbert, AZ. The Foundation is governed by a board of directors who are all community and/or business leaders having a vested interest in supporting parks and recreation in the community. As part of our dedication and commitment to serve, board members contribute an annual personal pledge to the Foundation.
To date the Foundation has made the following contributions to the Town of Gilbert's Parks and Recreation Department:

- $45,000 towards the Gilbert Assistance Program which offers scholarships to Gilbert residents who can't afford to participate in Parks and Recreation programs.
- $15,000 towards the Learn to Swim program, off setting swim lesson costs to ensure every child in Gilbert has an opportunity to Learn to Swim.
- $25,000 towards bike safety programs for Gilbert
